Moskua

Most people who know me are aware that I've been playing World of Warcraft since the last beta before the retail release. It's a fun and very addictive game. Some of the people who play it go a step further and capture video from the game in order to create little music videos. There are a few that are really well done.

One of the videos I ran across recently was a well-made one of some dwarf characters dancing to the song Moskua. Unfortunately, I can't find a link to it now and it was a streaming video so I couldn't save it when I first found it. Anyhoo, it's really well done. This morning I came across a link to the German band Ghengis Khan performing the song for television in 1979.

Trust me, the WoW dwarf version is a million times better.

While watching the video, it struck me that a couple of the singers looked familiar. The one in blue looks like a bald Alan Rickman:

And the guy in green looks like the love child of Rip Taylor and the late magician Doug Henning:

I've ended up playing the video about a dozen times this morning for coworkers. The song isn't bad, in a silly catchy pop kind of way, but now it's stuck in my head and driving me nuts.

Wowing 'em in Mulgore

Tuesdays are service and update days for the servers in World of Warcraft. Today's update included a big content patch. Many bugs and such were fixed, a new instance, and other adjustments were put in. Among the fixes were some that apply to warriors, which is the class to which my main character belongs.

So, when I finally got online tonight, what did I check first? One of the many warrior bug fixes? The interface changes? Chat bubbles?

Nope.

First thing I did was dance. They finally updated the Tauren Dance. The cows do either line dancing or the Electric Slide. Bulls have some new moves thrown in with their old peanutbutterjellytime dance.

Gotta check the important things first, after all.
