Clothes make the man

murakoziSo far this week, I've received two clothing-related comments.
This morning, going to the mail room to see if Accounting had sent financial reports for last month, I passed the receptionist, who was talking to one of the folks with an office on that side of the building. We exchanged "good morning"s and she commented on how I always 'look so sharp.' This, when I'm wearing the same ol shirt and tie that pretty much all the men here wear. Heck, I was running late today 'n did a lousy job of shaving. I feel scruffy, not sharp.
Sunday morning, when some of the regulars at the barn were sitting out front talking and drinking coffee, I was asked if I worked on a farm when I wasn't at the barn. When I told her that I have an office job, she replied that I should work on a farm. Apparently I look the part when wearing jeans, a denim shirt, and Carhartt vest.
While writing this, I'm also reminded of being told by a friend last year that I should dress 'more country' because they thought it'd look good.
So that's apparently two votes that I have a redneck air about me versus one that I'm more the coat 'n tie type. 'Course, I kind of prefer the boring "jeans and whatever clean shirt I grab first" look, myself.
