Man I hate being on dialup. I called Mindspring to see what the status of the dsl switch is, and they said I'm in the 'disconnect queue'
Basically you get tossed into that queue. Eventually they disconnect the old dsl, then put you in the 'connect queue.' Being Standard Useless Customer Service Agent types, the folks on the phone can only give stock answers as to how long the whole process takes. 5-10 working days in each queue. Could be faster, could be slower. Argh. To make the dialup experience even more annoying, folks sent me assorted emails with attachments while I was moving, so they took forever to eventually download. I snagged the smaller messages and left the ones with pics 'n such for last. Still, it's frustrating how long they take to download. I went to Pioneer's site to get a pdf of the owers manual for my tuner, since I couldn't remember how I'd had stuff hooked up on it before. That took ages too. In the end it wasn't super helpful anyway.
