Suits me

This evening, I'll be doing like Napoleon Solo and heading into the tailor shop.

Recently, I made the unpleasant discovery that something had been dining upon the slacks from the one remaining suit that fits me. So, I gotta get a new suit. I'm figuring something in charcoal, so that it'll do for work, formal stuff, and funerals alike. I just don't have enough demand to go getting multiple suits again. I figure I'll swing by Joseph Banks after work today. That's assuming I don't find some lame excuse not to do so. I just really hate shopping for a suit. I've got pretty limited fashion sense and, frankly, I always feel silly standing on a platform getting measured and stuff. For some reason, I've never had a coat or pants altered satisfactorily the firstt time, no matter where I've had it done. Eh. At least I don't have to go through it often.

I should pick up a new tie or two, while I'm out. That's another thing I'm lousy at. I tend to be from the 'boring and safe' school of fashion. My favorite ties have always been ones that others have gotten for me.

Suit, part deux

Well, I did it. Went in to get a suit, after work. After trying a few, seeing how they looked and were cut and such, I picked the coat and pants I wanted. The pants are half lined, which is nice. Picked up a new tie, too.

All told, between the suit, tie, alterations and tax, I shelled out close to $400. yeep. Just gotta keep reminding myself, I shouldn't need to get another one for years.
