I've got a little screwdriver that's usually sitting here on my desk. It's one of the ones the company used to give out at trade shows. One of those small ones that you can remove the shaft, turn it around, and reinsert it so that it'll work for either phillips or slotted screws. I snagged it out of a box of random leftover trade show tchochkes with the company log on 'em that someone set out in a meeting a couple years back. Anyway, when I came into work on Friday, I noticed some of the stuff on my desk had been moved around. That was odd, but I just put it down to maybe the cleaning people bumping the inbox or something. That's when I noticed the screwdriver was missing. I looked around under the desk and such and it was nowhere to be found. Eh. A mild annoyance, but not a big loss. I used it now and then to tighten or loosen the screws on computer cables and stuff, but it wasn't exactly a vital piece of equipment.

This morning it's back. Yay! I'm guessing that IT or one of the folks moving from one office to another borrowed it Thursday night and brought it back on Friday night after I'd left.

Yeah, this isn't exactly world shaking news, but..eh... I'm one of those people who notices when things are askew on the desk here at work.

I guess the bigger news for the weekend would, of course, be snow. We finally got a decent snow here. The original forcast was 4-6 inches for my area. It was more like 8 and higher. On the little patio in front of my front door, which is an area the wind loves to dump leaves, trash and stuff, the snow was about a foot deep.

I took a few pictures and tossed 'em online. Being lazy, I didn't bother resizing them and just dumped the contents of the camera's memory onto the 'net. That means there are also some other old pictures on there. Looks like a couple of Amber at the barn and some I took of the back of my car to show some friends why I couldn't find a good place to mount the ham radio antenna.

The dates on the snow pictures are screwy. I'm betting that's due to the camera batteries dying a while back and me forgetting to set the date on it after replacing them.

Anyway, as I was getting ready to dig the car out yesterday morning, Don called and said not to risk the roads and such to get to the barn. That meant I had the day off. Good thing, too, since digging the car out took longer than I expected. I dug out behind the SUV a couple spaces over from me, too, since it belongs to an older woman whose husband is handicapped and can barely walk. Didn't want her trying to do that herself.

Oddly, yesterday and this morning I've been very physically fatigued and tired in general. Considering the snow shovelling was less work than I would have done at the barn, and that I didn't do much of anything tiring the rest of the day, I should be pretty well rested. As it is, my legs feel as weak as if I'd been running up and down stairs all day.

Gonna be a quiet couple weeks at work. Programmer Guy is off to Hawaii to spend time with his in-laws who live there.

Doh! Snow!
