It's not the years, it's the mileage

Here's a picture of Mickey from this past Sunday, just because I felt like posting it somewhere.  The barn's vet's official statement on Mickey's age is "Between 45 and 50."  From the memories of someone who rode at the barn since she was a little girl, Mickey turned or will turn 48 sometime this year.




He may not be a show pony, but the little guy is looking good for his age.  I wonder sometimes just how many miles he's walked/trotted/cantered in his lifetime.
