There are no new ideas

I'll admit that I never got around to reading Harry Harrison's story, Make Room! Make Room! upon which the 1973 movie Soylent Green was based. I actually kind of liked the movie. Heck, I liked most of the post-apocalypse type movies that Heston starred in back then. They're just weird and amusing in their own way, especially The Omega Man.
I was, therefore a little disappointed to learn that there's a new version of Soylent Green in the works. Kind of a remake/sequel, all in one.

I thought the ending for the original movie was a good one, even if it didn't wrap everything up nice and tidy.
