The stink of clean
Jan. 5th, 2007 08:23 amWhile getting dressed for work today, I discovered a fabric softener sheet thingy had found its way into the sleeve of the shirt I was putting on when it was in the clothes dryer. I didn't think anything of it at the time.
Now I'm guessing that it must've spent the majority of the time in the dryer stuck in that sleeve because it seems to have gotten plenty of whatever fragrance it had on it into the fabric of the shirt. I didn't notice it til I actually got to work and wondered at what the vaguely perfumey/fabric softener type smell was that I'd get a whiff of now and then.
Since I've been sitting in one place at my desk for a while, it's now gotten to the annoying stage. Enough so that it's starting to bug my sinuses and such. Bleagh! Strong fragrances tend to stuff my nose up and get me sneezing. That's why I try to avoid places like the perfume counters in department stores.
I'm hoping the scent'll fade away quickly, otherwise I've got about 7.5 more hours of sneezing, blowing my nose, and potential headaches ahead.
