In explanation, there was a meeting here today. It was a meeting about something that I really have nothing at all to do with. However, due to the nature of the meeting, it had to be held in a secure area. There was a Powerpoint presentation that needed to be shown at the meeting. Unfortunately, there was only one workstation in the location that was available to run the presentation and that machine belongs to a contract of which I'm a part. Doubly unfortunate is the fact that I'm the only person associated with that contract who is in the office.
So I had to go and sit in on the meeting, and periodically push a key on the keyboard to advance to the next slide while trying to not actually pay attention to what was going on since, technically, I didn't have any business being in there.
For a little over 2 hours, my job was being a button pusher, just like George Jetson.
Now where's my flying car?
