Crows seem to be popping up lately.
A couple just flew up past the office window, presumably to land on the roof and do crow-ish things up there.
Last week at the grocery, I was passing the seasonal section and it was, of course, full of Halloween stuff. A couple decorations caught my eye. They were weird crow figures made out of some kind of foam-ish weblike material - The kind of stuff you might find on an air filter or something - on a bird shaped wire frame. they also had maybe a dozen or so miniature white lights strung on the frame. I guess you could use something like that as part of some centerpiece for a Halloween party or something. Personally, I'd rather have something that looked a bit more real. They were made by Sylvania, but I can't find pictures of 'em online anywhere.
On the way in to work, there's an empty area of grass between a couple of the buildings in the office park. There are a few 'No Trespassing" signs there that're mounted on wooden stakes so that they're only a few inches above the grass. Exposure to rain and other weather has caused a couple of them to droop a bit. There's one in particular that I see out of the corner of my eye that has drooped in such a way that it's caused me to think there's a big ol crow standing there. It's happened a few times in the past week and each time I look over and mentally kick myself, realizing it's the same sign I've seen before.
So, with the recurring mini-theme of crows lately, I'm wondering if it's some ominous portent of corvid related doom or something. Should I Beware The Crow?
