In one of those little trends in my life, Bugs Bunny and the other assorted Warner Brothers cartoon characters have been coming up a little bit in the past week or so. It started when derechodragon directed me to the following:

I remember that cartoon as being one of my favorites way back when.

Since then, I've heard people at work say a couple of the well-known lines from some of the Loony Tunes characters. This morning, the classical music station I listen to in the office played a couple pieces in a row that were used in some of those old cartoons.

I kinda miss those old cartoons. They didn't have any real lessons or morals. They weren't concerned with being politically correct. They were just silly little formulaic stories. I watched 'em over and over when I was a kid. Somehow, I managed to grow up not thinking that shooting people or blowing them up was okay.

Yeah, I know I'm getting old when I can go on about 'kids these days' and how they dunno what good cartoons are.
