It was a beautiful day at the barn today. I really wish I could've spent some time in the saddle. Today was that perfect combination of sunshine, breeze, and just the right temperature for riding the trail in the woods. As it was, the conditions also made the work inside the barn more comfortable. Warm enough to not need a jacket, but cool enough to not end up sweating buckets. The horses were all in good moods too. Spring is in the air and they're bouncy and happy as a result. As I was turning some of them out, I saw a lot of hopeful looks over at the grass pasture. They know they'll get to go down there soon. It's still too early, though. I suspect we'll wait at least a few more weeks to let the grass get established.
