running around

murakoziAs usual, Saturday means running around doing errands. Today also included a little exploring, trying to find how to get to some nearby shops 'n such in the new neighborhood. I discovered the mother of all beer and wine stores down in Fairfax while on a quest for sake. Now I'll have to pester folks I know for opinions on the brands that were there. Even though I've been in a pretty good mood all day long, something's been nagging me and making me feel less good than I should be. I finally realized that it's the date. May 1st. Two years ago, I had to have Sterling put to sleep, due to cancer. I still miss that cat.
Gotta do laundry and pack for the trip to SF tomorrow. There's a couple folks I hope to hook up with for a little bit while down there. Still, I can't wait til the trip is over and I'm home again. It'd be different if it wasn't a business trip.
