A summary of recent events, in no particular order:
plus: Fixed the annoying car beeping! A bit of lock deicer shot in the ignition seems to have cleaned/lubricated enough to make the car NOT think there's a key in there all the time. yay!
minus: Someone scrunched up the front bumper of my car. I went to Target on Saturday and when I came back out my front bumper is cracked and messed up. A woman loading her kids into her minivan next to my car said she'd seen it happen. She'd been heading back to her car when a blue pickup just 'backed up real fast' from the space across from me and whonked into the car. Then drove off. She was too far away to get a license plate number though, so no police report. The bluebook on the car is about nil, so it's not worth going through insurance. The poor lil n3ighmobile. Boo!
minus: The grasses and trees have decided that spring is here and already starting with the plant sexx0rz. Allergy s. Boo!
plus: Blue skies and long periods of not needing to have the heat or air conditioning running. Yay!
plus: Nice new soft flannel sheets on the bed. Mmm. Soft. Yay!
minus: Katie barfs on the bed an hour later. Boo!
plus: Actually got told there'll be a pay increase soon at work. Yay!
minus: The ongoing 'am I gonna be laid off' fear among everyone there. Boo!
And some that are just standalone good things:
plus: The ponies at the barn. Between Pumpkins uber-pony-cuteness that even affects other horses and the mares all feeling spring, and the geldings looking flustered because of the attentions of 'those icky mares,' it's just fun to stand and watch 'em in the pasture. They're already hanging around by the gate to the grass pasture, looking as if they're saying "Do we get to go down there today? huh? huh???"
plus: Even if Katie is a mildly senile, overly talkative, bed-barfing lil twerp, there's still nothing quite like having a cat snuggle and curl up and just purr all lovingly at you.
plus: Nicer weather means getting off my butt and back to some geocaching, and mebbe getting the bike fixed so I can ride it again.
plus: Soon the flowerboxes on the patio can be planted.
plus: Discovering that I kinda miss bowling. Should try to start doing that again, even though it's been..um..decades.
