The Inspector General

I took the car in yesterday for its emissions and safety tests. I was a little concerned about it passing, since it seems to have been trying to find ways to be annoying lately. The cracked front bumper also had me worrying they might decide that was an issue. The coltmobile passed, though. woohoo!
I did have one 'oh crap' moment there, though. I was standing around outside, enjoying the sun and nice breeze while the car was being inspected, when the mechanic came out and said he needed to talk to me about something. That got me wondering what he'd found that was bad and how much it was gonna cost to get fixed. Turns out he'd seen a couple old horse shoes on the floor in the car. Those plus the horse license plates gave him the (correct) impression that I do something or other involving horses. He was looking for a new place to get hold of manure. Seems he'd been driving 120 miles round trip to get it free from some barn and wanted to find someplace closer. I gave him the number for the stables and told him that there was usually a large quantity and that they'd gladly let him take all he wanted. I did warn him that it was still 35 miles or so away. He didn't mind, seeing as how it'd still save him 50 miles on the round trip.
Kinda stretching it with that subject line. There was someone at the garage with red hair, but he didn't look much like Danny Kaye.
